1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AgriScan ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. AgriScan is a registered micro-enterprise under MSME Udyam Registration No. UDYAM-HR-06-0087998, NIC Code 62011 (Computer Programming Activities). If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use immediately.

2. Service Description

AgriScan provides AI-powered crop disease classification using on-device machine learning inference. The service operates as a Progressive Web Application (PWA) with offline capabilities. Diagnostic results are generated by a YOLOv8 nano classification model running locally in your browser and are intended as advisory guidance only.

3. AI Diagnostic Disclaimer

AgriScan does not replace professional agronomic advice. The AI model provides probabilistic predictions based on visual pattern recognition. Results may be inaccurate due to image quality, lighting conditions, or plant varieties not represented in the training dataset. Users must independently verify all diagnostic results with qualified agricultural professionals before taking any action, including pesticide application or crop treatment.

4. SMS Escalation Consent

By voluntarily entering your phone number and clicking "Send SMS to Expert," you consent to the transmission of a diagnostic summary via SMS to a designated Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) agricultural expert. Standard messaging rates from your carrier may apply. AgriScan does not store phone numbers beyond the duration of the SMS transaction, unless temporarily queued offline in your device's local IndexedDB storage for delivery upon network restoration.

5. Data Processing & Privacy

All image analysis is performed entirely on your device. No leaf images are uploaded to any external server. The only data transmitted externally is the SMS alert payload (disease name, confidence percentage, and farmer phone number), which is sent to our Express.js backend exclusively for the purpose of SMS delivery via the Twilio API. 6. Intellectual Property

All source code, design elements, AI models, and documentation comprising AgriScan are the intellectual property of AgriScan (Owner: Ujjwal Garg). The YOLOv8 model architecture is used under the Ultralytics AGPL-3.0 license. TensorFlow.js is used under the Apache 2.0 license.

7. Limitation of Liability

AgriScan and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of diagnostic results, including but not limited to crop loss, financial loss, or environmental damage resulting from actions taken based on AI-generated recommendations.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Haryana, India.

1. Data We Collect

We collect minimal data. AgriScan processes leaf images entirely on your device using client-side AI. No images leave your browser. The only personal data collected is your phone number, provided voluntarily for SMS escalation, which is used solely to deliver the diagnostic alert and is not stored on our servers.

2. Local Data Storage

AgriScan uses the following browser storage mechanisms on your device:

• Cache Storage: Stores app-shell assets (HTML, CSS, JS, fonts, AI model) for offline access.
• IndexedDB: Temporarily stores SMS alert payloads when you are offline, automatically cleared after successful delivery.

All local data is scoped to the AgriScan origin and is not accessible by other websites or applications.

3. Third-Party Services

SMS delivery is powered by Twilio, Inc. When you send an SMS alert, the message payload transits through Twilio's infrastructure. Twilio's privacy policy applies to that transmission. No other third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services are used.

4. Data Retention

We do not maintain any persistent database of user data. SMS payloads in the IndexedDB queue are marked as "sent" and can be cleared by the user at any time by clearing browser data. Server-side logs are ephemeral and not archived.

5. Your Rights

You may clear all locally stored AgriScan data at any time through your browser's settings (Clear Site Data). Since we do not store personal data on our servers, there is no server-side data to request deletion of.
